Rice & Beans
I’ve been doing a lot of music lately. Recording mostly, but also a little old-fashioned live music. Here’s a picture Jeanette took of me playing open-mic at the Art Bar, Frankfurt Germany.
In my continuing quest to learn the ins and outs of my digital home studio, I’ve wasted another day recording something that isn’t a real song. This song was merely an experiment in applying the groove of a blues drum track with a lot of swing to other previously recorded tracks. The result is this 30 seconds of stupidity. It should be noted that I love Jeanette’s cooking even if it’s rice and beans one night and beans and rice the next.

One Asian and one Mexican? That sounds like another great underground group called NGK – not really a comedy duo though.

Again I have a hard time believing this is your voice. You really should finish the song because it sounds like you have a chorus. All you need is some more lyrics. I like it!

nice song. it reminds me of a song that goes “beans and rice beans and rice, my momma always cooks it sometimes twice”.

I knew a comedy duo that called themselves Rice and Beans; one was Asian and the other Mexican. Hoping all is well, we miss you here in China. Love always…
